Vision
Our Albarino wine is produced using the classic méthode champenoise technique. To maintain the natural acidity and phenolic complexity, the grapes are picked a bit earlier. The sparkling process starts with primary fermentation in a combination of neutral French barrels and stainless steel tanks. Once bottled with sugar, yeast, and nutrients for secondary fermentation, the wine undergoes aging en tirage to develop flavor through interaction with the lees. State-of-the-art cellar equipment is employed for riddling and disgorging, and a small dosage is added before sealing the sparkling wine.
Vintage Notes
2023 vintage was fantastic for the whites and roses. Lots of winter rain and a much cooler growing season meant a longer hang time with lower sugar accumulation. Ultimately it allowed us to get a more fully evolved wine with great acidity and lower alcohol.
Tasting Notes
The Albarino grape hails from Spain and is celebrated for its distinctive botanical fragrance, featuring a touch of citrus. It presents enticing aromas of freshly sliced yellow grapefruit accompanied by delicate hints of honeydew melon. Lively notes of fresh pineapple and lemon culminate in a refreshingly crisp finish.
